The family legacy
The history of the Melba began long before the hotel opened. It started in 1973, when Marilyn’s parents (Fanny and Adrien’s grandparents) opened Pâtisserie Le Melba in Bastogne. Very quickly, the name ‘Melba’ became firmly established in local life and synonymous with expertise and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
In 1994, Fanny and Adrien’s parents opened the Hôtel Melba, extending the family’s cherished philosophy of hospitality and sharing into the world of the hotel industry.
Since 2022, Fanny, Adrien and their partners Thibault and Léopold have taken over the business and are developing it together to make Maison Melba a vibrant hub combining a hotel and a restaurant, as well as function rooms and event spaces.

Yes. Maison Melba has a free private car park at the rear of the premises. It is not possible to reserve a space. Free spaces are also available on the street, subject to availability.
Your room is available from 3.00 pm and until 12.00 noon on the day of departure.
Are you planning to arrive outside these times or do you need to arrange your own check-in? Please contact us by email or telephone: we will provide you with all the information you need to organise your arrival with peace of mind.
No, pets are not allowed in the hotel rooms. Although we love them very much, Maison Melba does not allow pets in order to ensure the comfort of all our guests. They are, however, welcome in the restaurant and in the communal areas.
